001
A new frame incorporating the latest breakthrough in Corona Gene research. Its output, response speed, and other combat-related specs have all been enhanced. Kamui's own takeaway, though, is that he seems to have gotten a little better at video games.002
To cut down on weight and improve mobility, much of the frame was made with lightweight materials, leaving some of the wiring exposed. Kamui used to worry that this might leave weak points open, but he relaxed once he learned the protective materials used here are actually stronger than standard alloys.003
As his energy output changes, the color of the vital fluid running through his body shifts slightly too. If you pay close attention, it's easy to tell—when Kamui's upset, the color gets dimmer; when he's happy, it grows brighter.004
The Inver-Device mounted on his head has been heavily modified, giving it stronger resistance to the Punishing Virus. At the same time, it also lets an accompanying Commandant establish a consciousness connection with Kamui more quickly. It has all kinds of advantages in battle, but in day-to-day life, it's honestly a hassle—like how he keeps bumping into doorframes.005
The meaning behind the frame name "Aeternion" is actually simple. If he could be like the sun that never sets, then he could always stay by the side of the people he cares about, watching over them and being watched over in return.006
Under the association rules between Ezette and F.O.S., every Golden Sun is matched to a corresponding F.O.S. Chief. Kamui used to wonder whether he was really worthy of that title, or whether he was fit to stand beside the Gray Raven Commandant in that role. But more than being seen as the Golden Sun, what he really wants is for the commandant to see him as Kamui—the identity that belongs to him alone.
