Helentine: Lacrimosa V

>
Scene

Why is Helena sad in the story?

Swan labors away at the soil, having just told little Helentine the story's ending.

Because she missed her chance with the person she loved.

The person she failed to hold onto became her greatest regret.

Love? Like how I love watching movies?

My little Helentine, you're still too young to understand that just yet.

Swan sets down her shovel, pauses to think, then turns to Helentine.

Helentine, what I'm about to tell you... You don't have to understand it right now. When you...

When you grow up and meet that person, you'll understand.

Okay, I'll remember that.

Scene
Swan

Love is the sense of comfort that fills your heart when you see that person's silhouette.

Keep the coat. You can give it back next time we meet.

Raven drapes the coat over Helena, adjusting it carefully to shield her from the rain before turning to leave.

Scene
Swan

Love is that intimate feeling when you're in each other's arms and never want to let go.

Helentine, the director said "cut."

Just a little longer.

Scene

But I don't want to let go when you hug me either, Auntie Swan. Does that mean I love you too?

Swan gently pats the young Helentine on the head.

Of course, Little Helentine. I love you very much too.

But the kind of love I'm talking about is different. Sometimes... it can make you sad too.

Scene
Swan

Like when you see the person you love spending time with someone else, you can feel this... tightness inside your chest.

Ellen is adjusting your posture, occasionally holding both your hands or wrapping an arm around your waist, and murmuring reassurances like "I'll catch you, just trust me and lean back."

Commandant and Ellen look like they're still busy.

Scene

When you realize you might lose them, you'll feel this sense of panic.

Helena from the movie is the perfect example. She only realized she loved Raven when he was about to leave the city.

That's why you feel that panic. By the time you try to stop that person from leaving, it's already too late.

Auntie Swan... are you Helena from the film?

Helentine turns to look at her, only to find Swan's face already covered in tears.

Swan picks up the young Helentine, turns around, and speaks to her with utmost sincerity.

Helentine, if you ever meet someone you truly love, you have to fight for it. Don't let yourself live with regret.

The film reel we're burying together can serve as a reminder.

Won't it be hard to dig up later if we bury it this deep under the parasol tree?

Some things only reveal their meaning when you work hard to uncover them yourself.

When you meet someone you love, but don't know what to do about it, dig up this box together with that person.

I'll remember. So, if I'm not around the person I love... everything would feel wrong.

That's one way to look at it for now. But when you truly realize those feelings, you must follow that impulse in your heart.

Scene

Take the initiative...

Scene

Auntie Swan, thanks for your reminder. I finally understand now.

Helentine runs at full speed, your hand firmly in her grasp—though you are still trying to figure out what's happening.

But none of that matters right now. There's something she absolutely has to do.

Scene

Not long ago, inside the rehearsal room.

You're picking up the moves fast. The sequence is going to look great later.

A great teacher makes great students, but the student has to have talent too.

Ellen gives you an excited pat on the shoulder. Through the small window in the door, a blurry figure can be seen outside.

If you guide Nelly a little when the time comes, we might just get that breakthrough we need...

Bang!

The loud crash of the door draws the attention of both of you. Outside, Helentine stands past the door now groaning on its broken latches, breathing hard.

Nelly?! What's going on?!

Without a word of explanation, she strides straight up to you, grabs your wrist, and whisks you away before either you or Ellen can process what's happening.

Scene

Now, Helentine is pulling you along as she races through the streets in the studio set, while you struggle to match her pace.

Ellen, get ready for the starlit confession. We're filming that scene now.

Alright! I'll get everything set up right away!

Hang in there, Gray Raven Commandant!

I have no idea! But the emotional intensity coming from Nelly right now is like nothing I've ever felt from her before!

It looks like... there might actually be hope!

Scene

And so, you find yourself dragged along by Helentine's unyielding grip as you rush toward the final filming site.

All across Heleywood, the mechanoid crew springs into action, making their way to the location and beginning to set up lights and cameras.

The clear blue sky overhead shifts in an instant, transforming into a dazzling violet night filled with countless stars.

Everything is in place. The stage is set for the climax.
