One day, in Gray Raven's lounge.
Having just come back from a mission, Gray Raven is now in the lounge and only needs to leave when they need to collect the ingredients needed to make mooncakes.
Naturally, people huddle up and start writing cards for the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Commandant, I just finished the card for Commander Nikola.
The card is written on behalf of Gray Raven, with all your best wishes for Commander Nikola.
I wrote a card for Asimov, too. I kept it short and sweet to save him the pain of reading.
Looking at Lee's card, you see exactly what he means—the words on it have been halved and shortened into single words, whose meanings can only be obtained through guesswork...
While the card isn't the easiest to read, it isn't entirely impossible if you give it a try.
And this one is for President Hassen, Commandant...
After going through all the cards, you look thoughtfully at the letter that lies open in front of you.
Lucia notices you deep in thought. With your permission, she moves up for a closer look at the letter.
...We know everything you did, and we shall see to it that your twisted desire is rectified and that your confessions are personally made. Brace yourselves for what's coming...
There is nothing out of the ordinary about the letter sheet itself. The words on it, however, are all cut and pasted from somewhere else.
They put the name of the recipient at the beginning instead of at the end...
The person who sent this has got to be...
I don't think Kamui is behind this. Not like this, at least... I mean, maybe, perhaps, most likely...
But you never had the time to do something like this, right? I mean, you've been slaving away on the mission report all this time...
Which is why you've decided to take a break away from the letter completely during the holiday...
Nanami did ask me something about cutting and pasting a while back, though... Could it be her?
Bingo with a capital B, Commandant! How did you like Nanami's work?
You're now in a conversation on your terminal with Nanami...
Well, I actually meant to use it for April Fools' Day, and I have no idea how it ended up with Commandant.
Keep it safe for me for now, Commandant. I'll swing by to pick it up when I'm back from shopping. Hey, do you happen to have daggers here? I'm looking for the kind that I can throw on the wall to pin a letter with...
The conversation ends in a hubbub.
A warning letter for April Fools' Day. It should be okay to deal with it later when the time comes...
Because after everything you've been through, you now want nothing more than to spend some quality time with the team while the holiday lasts.
You do, however, feel slightly bothered by the schedule that is lurking in the back of your mind.
Ding-dong—the sound of the doorbell drags you right back to your senses.
The transportation craft is on standby, Commandant.
...
The door closes.
Does Commandant have a meeting to attend today?
Not as far as I know—or at least there wasn't one to begin with.
I wonder what's happened...
I don't think it's anything serious, considering how Commandant asked us to stay here. It's probably just something that has to do with the festival.
But the Task Force member just said, "The transportation craft is on standby," right?
That probably just means the meeting itself isn't taking place at Babylonia.
Anyhow, let's finish up what we have here. I've got this pile of cards sorted out already and I'm just going to get in touch with WGAA now.
Right when Lee taps on his terminal...
Ayla comin' through!
With the door swooshing open, Ayla pops out like a machine that's been pre-programmed to do so.
Did someone just say WGAA?
That was quick.
Well, we did promise to collect all the letters and cards in person, and I thought I'd just drop by since I was nearby... Where is Commandant, by the way?
I think Commandant left Babylonia already.
Huh? But I thought the meeting was at... Uhm... Seems like Commandant intends to do it alone, huh... Gotcha.
Coming back to her senses, Ayla sees Liv and Lucia sticking their noses right in her face. Lee, too, has trained the recorders in his ears at her.
Noticing what's going on, Ayla quickly covers her mouth.
Hehehe. Guess I should be on my way now with your cards. Adios!
Before anyone knows what's happened, Ayla already takes all the cards from the table and left.
...
Commandant probably has a plan. Let's just carry on with what we're supposed to do here.
Says Lee—as he whips out his terminal and scrolls away, apparently trying to dig up something.
Have you guys seen the file Commandant left around here?
Liv looks all around her as she organizes the table.
Are you talking about the personal file Commandant mentioned? I thought the commandant took it on the way out...
Oh boy, did Ayla take it with all the cards?
Commandant did stress how personal the file was...
I don't think Ayla has gone too far yet. Let me go and grab her.
Ta-da, ta-da-da-da, ta-da-da-da-da.
Sitting on Power as it makes its way back to the lounge, Nanami is humming the song she heard before at the square.
And, out of the blue, she sees someone she can't be more familiar with.
GYAAA!
Power holds Nanami in the seat with one arm as it brings itself to a stop by holding onto the ground with the other arm.
What's going on?
Forced to stop in her tracks and regain her composure, Lucia sizes up the road ahead.
Sorry, Nanami, but there really is no time to go into the details now.
Commandant asked us to take care of a personal file, except it's nowhere to be seen now. It's probably at WGAA and that's where I'm going now.
A personal file? Is it something important?
It should be... I mean, it's probably not something you should read unless authorized to.
Should I ask around?
Lee is already on that, but there haven't been any replies yet. They're probably busy dealing with something else.
After a quick exchange, Lucia waves Nanami goodbye and speeds away for WGAA.
Anyhow, I need to go there to get it back.
...
!!!
Then, as though struck by an epiphany, Nanami suddenly grows serious.
The Commandant has a classified file and someone took it.
We have a situation here, Power. Let's get to work!
Hooray! Got my hundredth expansion pack from this game.
A gust of wind almost blows away the bag from Kamui's hand.
What's going on? Was that a drone?... Wait, Nanami?
Hey, Kamui. Glad to see you here.
We have an emergency.
An emergency? What happened?
Hmm...
Nanami struggles with putting the information together in a logical manner—all while Kamui looks on in bewilderment...
Wow, that sure doesn't sound very good at all...
Nanami manages to put together a story with her own understanding of the situation and what she's heard from Lucia.
Apparently someone took some letter from the Gray Raven Commandant.
As in someone snuck in and took the letter? Anything else?
Well, I don't think the person snuck in... I mean, they probably didn't. Lucia only said the letter went missing and WGAA has it now.
Is the letter super important?
Yes, it's not meant to be seen by anyone.
You guys probably have tried this already, but have you managed to get in touch with WGAA?
We have but got no response. They're probably just too busy for us.
Oh boy, it sounds like a premeditated act.
But this whole thing just doesn't feel right to me... Are you sure this isn't just some sort of prank?
Gray Raven is going all over the place trying to find the letter as we speak here.
Power starts making a sound—a sound that it makes only when it's on a search mission.
That's pretty much it. Try to involve more people and help us with it if you don't mind. Power and I are going to see what we can find over there.
And with that, Nanami kick-starts Power and speeds off into the distance in a gust of wind.
Kamui is left standing in bewilderment. Then, piecing the pieces of information together, he initiates a communication...
Kamui? What's the matter?
We have a situation here, Capt. WGAA took some letter from the Gray Raven Commandant, and it apparently contains classified information.
Gray Raven has tried getting in touch with WGAA but they refused to speak to them. God only knows where they're hiding out now...
