Teddy: Decryptor II

>

It appears like she has been waiting here for some time. As you draw near, the pink-haired Construct waves at you gently.

Over here!

We're heading to... Constellia.

Don't worry. I've already filed a mission request for you as the vice-captain of the Engineering Force... Celica gave it the green light right away.

However, just taking a walk around Constellia isn't the "sincerity" I had in mind. Think of it as... an appetizer.

Join me for the stress test with the new transport crew at Constellia.

Hmm...

Now I'm feeling unsatisfied, like my bargain deal was accepted too easily.

She squints her eyes at you.

How about...

Eh, you actually remember that...

Your memory is really something else...

It's a deal, then.

This all started with your wild squad member, after all, setting up a defensive countermeasure program like that in the whitelist...

A day of your time as compensation for a day of my workload—sounds like a fair trade.

Here. This is our schedule for today.

She brings up the terminal, revealing a lengthy list of scheduled activities.

First up, we'll take a look around Constellia. Those mechanoids always hide some gems from the Golden Age.

This place, that place, and this one too... After we're done, we'll join the stress test for the new transport crew.

I've planned it down to the last detail, so there won't be any problems.

Surprisingly agreeable, aren't you?

...The transport craft's here. Let's go.

First stop—Constellia!

The intricate mechanoid city always gives the impression that you could easily lose your way in its twisting streets and alleys, regardless of how many times you traverse them.

However, Teddy effortlessly guides you through a series of twists and turns into an unmarked path on the map, as if she's simply navigating through the Engineering Force.

We technicians have our own ways, you know.

Want to learn it? Shell out the tuition, and I'll squeeze in some teaching when I can.

Eh... Hold on.

Teddy abruptly halts in her tracks. Following her gaze, you catch sight of none other than the long-unseen eldest son of the Norman family.

...Leonardo?!

She quickly pulls you behind a surprisingly tall trash can built for some unknown reason.

...What brings him here?

Why does he have all this free time... Did Victoria not load him up with enough work?

Who are you talking about? Clearly not me.

Even though she manages to hide in time, Leonardo appears to have sensed something strange and begins walking in your direction.

I can't get stuck with him, or he'll definitely start spouting nonsense, and our plans for today will be ruined.

After glancing around, Teddy suddenly gives you a hard push.

Please... Keep him occupied!

With a playful wink, she slips into a nearby shop.

Before you can regain your composure, Leonardo has already approached you.

...Hmm? Gray Raven Commandant? I think I saw... Teddy just now?

Are you on a surface mission with her?

Is my dear sister hiding from me...?

If that's the case, big brother might get a bit hurt!

Is she really not around?

Hmm...

Oh, just some boring stuff. Victoria roped me into assisting with the reconstruction in Constellia, so here I am, checking it out against my will.

Handling mechanoids really isn't as interesting as dealing with those sly old foxes in Parliament.

After finding no sign of Teddy and having some pointless chatter with you, Leonardo leaves with an expression that says, "This person is no fun."

Though you haven't interacted with him much, you are surprised to notice that he appears more at ease than before.

As you watch him walk away, you turn around, your attention caught by a line of dazzling shops. However, you have already forgotten which one Teddy slipped into...

Shh, over here.

Tracing her voice around the corner, you quickly spot Teddy in an entirely different coating, peering out from the back door of a shop.

Did he really leave?

Good... Hey, why are you staring at me? Haven't you seen my new coating?

This design is inspired by the Golden Age aesthetic.

I've been itching to put together something like this since I left Gestalt, and I have to say, it turned out pretty well.

Obviously, I don't want Leonardo to latch onto me. He's never seen this coating.

In this getup, even if he accidentally catches a glimpse of me, I can easily fade into the crowd and avoid being found.

I guess...

She responds uncertainly, appearing to be unsure herself.

Speaking of which, how about you... get changed too?

New clothes, obviously! What do you think? There's a mechanoid-run clothing store right around the corner.

I don't have time to whip up a custom design for you, but I can definitely help you pick something out right now!

Hmph, you just don't want new clothes...

After considering it, the pink-haired Construct finally decides to abandon the idea of having you change.

Alright, I'll let you off the hook this time, just for the sake of my new headphones.

Let me think about where to go next...

Right, it's this way.
