Bianca A Flash of Love

Spaceport Loop Road

Babylonia

People come and go along the broad walkway. Perhaps because of the festival, this usually formal and solemn area now feels a little more relaxed and cheerful than usual.

Walking side by side with Bianca, you exit the military spaceport's cabin entrance and head toward the transport elevator that leads to the dormitory.

And that's the ending of the script.

I didn't write that part because I hadn't decided at the time.

I wrote this script several months ago. If you hadn't mentioned this World Government Association of Art event, I would have forgotten about it.

A photo that best represents Babylonia in my heart...

Bianca holds onto the handrail of the moving walkway, her gaze fixed on the starry expanse outside the window, lost in deep contemplation.

Bianca smiles softly, drawing her gaze back from the stars.

You've probably guessed that the protagonist in my script is based on me.

She took off her military uniform, retired, and returned to Babylonia from Earth. But only after disembarking did the protagonist realize that this place felt completely foreign to her, as though she had never been here before.

Even though she was only assigned to the ground mission one week ago.

Yes, so she went on to explore all of Babylonia: strolling near the dormitories, enjoying afternoon tea in the commercial district, watching performances at the World Government Association of Art...

She examined this colossal structure she'd lived in for years from a perspective she never had before... But I couldn't write where she finally stopped.

Because I myself don't know what place in Babylonia could give me that sense of fulfillment, that feeling of... the script could end here, because the protagonist has thoroughly examined her new life.

Bianca hesitates for a moment, then quickly comes to a stop.

Seeing this, you recall the script details from your earlier discussion...

...

Ding—

Just then, the elevator reaches its destination and the doors slide open—exactly as Bianca had written in her script.

A veteran has laid down her arms and returned to her hometown.

...

Sure.

Commercial District

Babylonia

On the bustling street, Bianca stares at the bizarre-looking food in her hand, hesitating to speak.

...Do I really have to eat this?

I only included it because I heard others talk about it and thought it was interesting—like it could show the protagonist's character from the perspective of food...

Ugh—!

Movie Theater

Babylonia

After repeatedly checking the title on the movie ticket, you confirm it matches the arthouse film described in multiple forum reviews as "incredibly boring—slept through two hours of it." You could not help but break into a cold sweat.

Bianca raises an eyebrow nonchalantly.

It's in the script.

No matter what perspective, you still have to watch it.

Please look this way too, [player name].

Platform

Babylonia

Together with Bianca, like two people who have truly shed all other identities, you follow the route outlined in the script, wandering through many places across Babylonia.

You have visited many places—those written in the script and those that weren't. Time flows on through light and shadows captured by the camera.

By the time Bianca flips to the last photo, you are already at the platform entrance in the dead of night.

Behind her, you look up to check the departure times on the platform display.

You hand Bianca the hot drink you'd just bought and sit down beside her, your shoulders touching.

...For my next script, I'll have [player name] be the one trying that food instead.

...Let's choose a less tedious film next time.

Bianca smiles softly, then returns to browsing through the photos on the camera.

This one will do.

Bianca suddenly looks up, lifts her camera, and focuses the lens on something directly ahead.

I've found the perfect spot for our protagonist.

Click—

The scene freezes in time.

On the opposite side of the platform, the glass surface of a massive billboard faintly reflects the silhouettes of two of you sitting side by side.

Then, within those hazy, indistinct outlines, the figure holding the camera lowers her hand and slowly leans against the other's shoulder.

I've found it—her own Babylonia.
