Noan Lingering Stars

>

Good afternoon, Commandant.

Noan strolls up to the meeting point, flashing a smile and reaching out his hand.

And off you go, wandering the commercial streets, shooting the breeze like always.

You bet. Looks like the ACA is in the mix, right?

Some of these joints scream traveling merchants or Cargo Crew.

He points to a "mixed" flower shop ahead. They've got everything—fresh blooms, potted plants, and those fancy preserved flower crafts.

They collect their raw materials from specific spots, then hit up artisans to work their magic. Their stores always look like this, a mishmash of goodies but all made from the same materials.

Yeah, but flowers weren't exactly essentials, so they only traded for the bare minimum. When I was a kid, I used to sneak off to the ruins hunting for wild roses. Back then, I was just a budding merchant at heart.

Treats from Akdilek?

The young man who hails from Akdilek looks baffled, as if someone is wolfing down salt right in front of him.

Noan eyes the cloth bag in his hand and lets out a sigh of relief.

Tea?

I heard the rustle when you whipped it out... and caught a whiff of that tea aroma.

Most traveling merchants aren't as honest and friendly, and if you're not careful, you could end up with your goods swapped out... It's a survival skill.

As he speaks, Noan pauses in front of a jewelry shop.

This place isn't half bad.

He bends down, examining the jewelry on the counter and pondering hard on what to buy as a gift.

Alright, if that's how it is...

He casually grabs a metal bookmark crafted from an old gear.

Hmm...

He scans the shop again and, after a beat, snatches up a pair of earrings.

How about these?

Since it's a rare chance, I figured I'd try something new... If you're not feeling it, we can switch back to the bookmark?

Do Constructs even need to stress about that stuff?

Fair point... Mind giving me a hand?
